This week we were at Studio B, discussing fall cleanup, cool weather planting and what we're thinking about for next gardening season.

The Watermelons that Ate Manhattan
Today's podcast finds us once more at Studio L, where Laura has successfully daisy-chained three rain barrels and is harvesting, harvesting, harvesting. She's keeping a close eye on the melons, as they seem intent on garden domination. Beth has actually done some cutting down of weeds (so they're more like ground cover, at least), and exploring options for the soon to be expanded front gardens.

Aphids and Tumblr and Squash, Oh My!
The hot days have continued, with Laura continuing her struggles to keep the produce well-hydrated. Meanwhile, at Studio B, the plants fend for themselves - some well, some taking themselves out of the gene pool. Laura's also been having adventures with presumed aphids, and Beth's added a Garden Grlz site on Tumblr. You can click the link on the right-hand menu to check out Tumblr.

Exploding Gardens!
After a week of rain, ran, rain followed by a week of hot, hot, hot, we've moved on to a week of grow, grow, grow! Listen to this week's episode to hear all about how June is bustin' out all over, especially in Laura's gardens! Beth's got some flowers either blooming or on the edge of it, and managed to finish some projects. We also chat about Laura's vacation trip to the Vegetarian Summer Fest in Pennsylvania, some food ideas and what's coming around the next bend. Also - the answer to the cracking radish mystery!
